Galina Kuklina was born in Donetsk (Ukraina), where she received the full musical education. In 1998 she obtained a diploma with distinction from the Vocal Faculty of the Donetsk Conservatory. She received several awards at the national vocal competitions. She was semi-finalist at the International Sergej Rachmaninov Competition in Moscow (1997). Galina Kuklina has a strong voice with a dark timbre and large diapason, what allows her to perform works and opera roles written for young-dramatic soprano, as well as some mezzo-soprano parts. She is considered an outstanding actress with an excellent stage expressiveness.

Galina Kuklina has performed among others the following opera parts: Carmen, Butterfly, Aida, Amelia, Tosca, Maddalena/Andrea Chenier, Leonora/Fidelio, Wenus/Tannhäuser, Dorabella/Cosi fan tutte,  Halka, Marina, Preziosilla, Fenena. Her artistic activity includes also concert performances.

Besides of Ukraina and states of the former Soviet Union, Galina Kuklina has performed in several Polish opera theatres, as well as in Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg and Denmark. She performed among others at the Festival in Xanten (Aida, Fenena), in Niedersaechsische Staatsoper Hannover (Marina) and in Théâtre de Châtelet in Paris. March 2004 Galina Kuklina performed at the presence of Placido Domingo the part of Maddalena in the opening-night performance of Giordano's "Andrea Chenier" in the stage direction by Mariusz Trelinski (co-production of the Poznan Opera Theatre and the Opera in Washington).

At the present time Galina Kuklina is connected with a long-term contract to the Grand Opera Theatre in Poznan, Poland. In 2002 she received the Polish citizenship.
